Bio and career
Jaume de Marcos Andreu was born June 25, 1961, in Barcelona, Spain. He graduated in Anglo-Germanic Philology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1987. Since then he has worked as a free-lance translator, specializing mainly in software and fiction. Since 1990 he has also been a software localization tester for the Spanish versions of computer programs and travels frequently to the USA and Canada. In 2005 he also earned a Master in History of Religions, also from the UAB Barcelona University. His final paper dealt with the influence of Erasmus of Rotterdam in the works of Michael Servetus. He runs a mailing list on Michael Servetus (in English), and a blog on Religious Studies which includes collaborations from Spanish experts in the field (in Spanish).

Jaume de Marcos is a member of the Spanish Society for the Science of Religions and is on the governing Board of the UNESCO Association for Interfaith Dialog. He lives and works in Barcelona, is currently separated and has a son, Oriol (1997).
